Etsy Corner: Blue V-Neck Tee and White Denim Shorts

I treasure the care many Etsy merchants take with the packaging and presentation of their clothing and wares for poppets. Today is one such delightful such package from Sparrow & Wren!

The blue v-neck is made of lightweight material, is figure hugging, and features a functional breast pocket. The high waisted white denim shorts have five pockets belt loops, and a velcro front fly. Both were made from patterns by Pixie Faire.

Iolanthe looks beyond her years in this hip and modern everyday set. 

Etsy Corner: Peplum Jacket

Iolanthe is ready for a cool night out and about in her new Peplum Jacket.

The Peplum Jacket coordinates with the Chiffon Print Dress, both made by Maddie's Girls. The jacket is based on a Liberty Jane Boomerit pattern, part of the Outback Libby collection.

The Peplum Jacket is made of an army green twill with princess seams sewn with rough edges. The jacket is fully lined, boasts working buttons and pocket flaps which lift up, and the jacket is beautifully top stitched throughout.

The tiered peplum on the back of the jacket also features the distressed frayed edges. The sleeves end with fabric ties laced through real grommets.

Iolanthe is thrilled with her all her closet finds!

Etsy Corner: Chiffon Print Dress

Poppet Iolanthe fetchingly presents a beautiful Chiffon Print Dress.

The dress is made of chiffon and has a button and loop front closure and fastens with two snaps on the back yoke and a single hook and eye at the back waist. The dress pattern design is Liberty Jane Woomera, part of the Outback Libby collection.

The dress was handmade by Maddie's Girls with great care and precision.

The hem of the dress is short in the front and low in the back. The sheer dress comes with a lacy white slip made of soft and stretchy material for underneath the sheer chiffon dress.

Today Iolanthe will pair the Chiffon Print Dress with ruffled sandals from Saige's Sweater Outfit.

Light, breezy, and subtle, the dress works well both in casual and formal settings.

Maddie's Girls is a wonderful Etsy shop and her clothing is so much fun to receive in the mail. All the items are carefully wrapped as if coming straight from a high end boutique. I love her branded tags, labels, and darling shopping bags.

Etsy Corner: Vintage Blue Polka Dot Dress

We are deep in summer and it is time for a breezy dress review from the Etsy Corner! Poppet Gjertrud (classic Kit) and her puppy Baldur model today's lovely dress.

Gjertrud is wearing a dress from Katherine's Creations (KGabor19 on Etsy or KatherinesCreations on Instagram).

The vintage style dress by Katherine's Creations features flutter sleeves and an a-line skirt. The fabric is 100% cotton with a perfectly scaled navy and white polka dot pattern. Gjertrud has paired the dress with navy shoes from AG Coconut Fun Outfit and a red bow barrette from Kit's Hairstyling Set.

The back of the dress closes with two hand-sewn snaps and also has a fabric sash that ties in the back for a perfect custom fit.

Based on this single purchase from Katherine's Creations, I heartily recommend her artistry and craftsmanship. The cut, the fit, the seams, the hems are all perfect.

Etsy Corner: Kitty Hats by Guppy Kisses

Astrid returns to model the darling Kitty Hats made by Guppy Kisses on Etsy. I first viewed these knitted kitten caps on an AG discussion forum and knew immediately that my girls would love them!

Guppy Kisses offers custom orders of these hat with several choices of color. I had such a hard time deciding on a color--plus several of my girls were clamoring for a Kitty Hat--so I ended up ordering three: a berry and a purple from a cotton/acrylic blend, plus a third lavender one knitted with a soft mohair blend.

One thing I really appreciate is when Etsy sellers take the extra time to smartly package their handmade products in a visually appealing way. Each hat from Guppy Kisses came in its own self closing plastic bag and she even included her stunning business card. These sorts of extra touches complete the shopping experience for me.

The craftsmanship is perfect--the stitches are even and the construction flawless. The fit of the hats was also perfect for my American Girl dolls.

While Astrid and Ingrid have made claims on the purple and berry hats, the lavender mohair hat will likely be worn by Lilja (#55), though she is still waiting for an outfit change out of her holiday dress! However, some plans are afoot for a giant slumber party and pajamas showcase, so we will have to see what will come next.

The Kitty Hats by Guppy Kisses are not to be missed! The seller was prompt in her communications and professionally delivered on this custom order which can be placed on Etsy at her shop. Cute and reasonably priced, not to mention very well made. A+
