Baking and Cooking and Eating, Oh My!

What is THIS? Will this be a new kitchen set offered by AG soon?

Is orange the new teal? The mixer looks just like Grace's retired teal mixer from her Baking Set (review and photos). Seems like a smart move as the piece is classic and saves time and money for AG to reintroduce it in this new set.

Love the pink waffle maker which makes heart shaped waffles!

This is a full kitchen with a sink, stove top, oven, refrigerator, utensil rack, and lots of storage both above and below the counters. It looks like the items will mix and match wonderfully with preexisting Grace bakery items and that this new set relies much less on "paper" products that quickly fall apart. For example, the sugar and flour comes in plastic models rather than the paper boxes from Grace's set.

And for red head fans, will this be a new Truly Me doll? She seems to have the classic mold face and has straight red hair with a side part, and light blue eyes. TM #65?

    1. I found this on AG Facebook! It is in the "visitor" section and was posted by a mall advertising a new AG popup store. You probably can still find the original and yes, thanks for asking, you may share my copy with the watermark or just look on FB for the original.

    1. Which part or pieces in particular? The pieces look to be made of similar materials as Grace's French Bakery and as such, is made to survive thoughtful play by 8+ year olds.

    2. The lacy bit at the top with pots and pans hanging from it. Seems like one mishap would snap it.

    3. When I get my little bunny paws on it I will check out the scrollwork on that utensil rack for certain. It looks to be made of plastic but if the last two years of plastic pieces from AG's GOTY line is still the case, it is a super sturdy (surface does not easily dent) yet flexible (rubbery and bendy) material. I am thinking of the sturdy but bendy and flexible plastic used on Isabelle's Dance Bar and the hanging "Patisserie" sign on Grace's French Bakery.

  4. If the mixer is Grace's, I wouldn't be surprised. We now have Mckenna's exact gymnastics set, only recolored, as well as Saige's hat and helmet recolored. I think it's as though they put those things in GOTY sets to see if maybe they'll sell them. (similar to how Monster high recolors accessories). It's a nice kitchen, but I've never really wanted a kitchen, plus I don't have the money or the room. I'm not sure that doll is new, or she is too similar to the doll (currently available) with blue eyes and caramel hair (looks a bit like Mckenna without her part). Either way, I do like all the bright colors used in the set.

  5. Is the brown haired doll new as well? It appears to be a Josefina mold with light vinyl. Is this our "not Grace"?

  6. This kitchen set looks so cool! I really like how it has a bunch of different pieces. The two dolls look to me like #39 and #62, but maybe they will be new dolls!
