Thank you for the update. I do like her stock photos, but will wait to decide on if we need her until we see more photos. Her book and guitar do lead me to believe that a last minute switch up with GOTY, was indeed true. Especially with Gabriella's earring tie in. Good catch on that one!
My daughter and I love her collection too. I am liking all the upcoming releases I have seen for AG! Super excited to see Tenney and the new Felicity in person.
Me, too. Tenney is a home run for me as a collector. I hope for those who are disappointed that other releases or future releases will be a home run for them!
Maybe sad, maybe soulful? Or maybe just begging for some table scraps face? Lol. I think the most doleful dog from AG is Grace (Kit's dog). So much so that I had to pick out Grace in store to find one that looked a little less sad than usual!
I'm not into GOTY's usually (I like Historical Dolls). I'm not into the Classic face mold especially with long hair. I'm not into most Caucasian dolls (because I use the dolls as portals to teach my young white children about diversity, the AG dolls are mine btw) I'm not into blonde-haired dolls (personal preference, even my Barbies as a girl were all Polynesian, etc. because that was the only black-haired dolls I could find in Midwest Walmarts). I'm not into country music (hate it actually). But I am LOVING THIS DOLL and her collection! I will definitely be picking up some of her outfits. My oldest loves the pink tutu outfit and wants it for her Journey Girl Doll, and she shall have it! But the boots are all MINE . There may even be a teal guitar in our future!
I love your playful attitude! I think it is really neat when one connects with a doll for reasons unknown. I am not a big country music fan either, but I do love a smattering of folk and bluegrass music. So for me, no matter how Tenney will be portrayed in her books, in her poppet life here she will be strongly tied to folk and bluegrass roots. The teal guitar is beyond fantastic--such lovely details and so specific to her story and themes vs just having her use the more generic guitar from the TM line. And the boots are a first line purchase here, too!
I really like the white lace top and shorts. For some reason each picture with Tenney in it my first reaction was eyebrows. I'd like to see how she looks with the new hands holding Her guitar

DeleteToo bad she doesn't have pet cats, then she would be even more like Taylor Swift!
ReplyDeleteI had no idea Swift had cats! Ha!
DeleteShe's so cute! The puppy looks a bit sad though.
